PowerDVD XP is clearly one of the finest DVD players available for Windows. It has some great features that other software, like WinDVD, don’t even have. The bunch of new features teamed-up with the handy remote control device make PowerDVD XP the software of choice when it comes to flawlessly watch DVDs on your computer. However, I have to say that the new version will be useful only if you need one of the new audio decoding or playback features (or hardware acceleration). In case you don’t need them, you can perfectly keep using PowerDVD 3.0 because the video quality between both versions is about the same.
