While not the best program to tell you how well your machine performance is in real world gaming terms, the benchmark is well used across all the internet and in magazines nowadays. As you can see, as expected the overall 3D Mark score is not much higher on the 3800 than the 3000 processor, this is simply due to them both using an identical graphics card, the improved score comes when testing out the CPU benchmarks in the program with the 3800 processor almost getting double the score of the 3000 processor.
