Introduction
Logitech,
the Swiss founded company, well known for its series of mice, has yet
another new product to free your cluttered desktop. A few months after
launching the first cordless Optical mouse this year, Logitech is back on
the scene with a rather innovative package named Logitech Cordless Freedom
Optical. In this kit you’ll find the surprising Logitech Cordless MouseMan
Optical pointing device along with a brand new cordless Logitech Cordless
Keyboard. With this kit not only your mouse will lose its ball and cord (if
it’s not already done), but your keyboard will lose its cord too! The
advantages of having a cordless keyboard are obvious: you can position the
keyboard where you want on your desktop or even you can put the keyboard on
your lap! Obviously Logitech’s kit includes some very interesting
technologies to save battery life, secure transmissions and ease your life.
With several shortcuts and specific buttons, including a customizable
scrolling wheel, Logitech’s latest keyboard will please everyone.
Installation
Installing the Logitech Cordless Freedom Optical is quite simple: the kit
comes with one radio receiver that will receive signals from the keyboard
and the mouse. You have to plug this stylish receiver to your PC using the Y
cable: plug the USB cable to the USB port of your computer (a USB to PS/2
converter is provided so you can still use the mouse through a casual PS/2
connector) and plug the mini DIN cable to the keyboard PS/2 plug of your
computer. Insert the two AA 1.5v batteries into the mouse and insert four AA
1.5v batteries into the keyboard, and you’re done! You can start using your
mouse and keyboard right away but we strongly advise you to install the
MouseWare 9.41 along with iTouch 1.82 drivers to unleash the full potential
of your new mouse and keyboard.
