OpenGL Benchmarks
Now is a great classic:
the Quake III Arena benchmark. Quake III is a famous OpenGL game that
intensively uses the GPU as well as the CPU of the computer. The results
below speak for themselves!

With Quake III Arena, the GeForce 4 Ti
4600 is obviously ahead of the race since it offers the highest
framerate. The gap between the GeForce 4 Ti 4600 and other cards becomes
really significant in high resolutions. In 1280*1024*32, the GeForce 4
Ti 4600 is 20% faster than the GeForce 3 Ti 500. |
 |
Then again, with the 2x
antialiasing mode the GeForce 4 Ti 4600 outclasses every other
cards. In 1280*1024*32, the GeForce 4 Ti 4600 gets the awesome
framerate of 134.8fps: it's 82% faster than the GeForce 3 Ti
500. The ATI Radeon 8500 clearly lags behind NVIDIA cards in
almost every resolutions. |
|
 |
Testing Quake III Arena in FSAA 4x
highlights the fact the GeForce 4 Ti 4600 is the card for those
who want to experience high quality graphics with a high frame
rate! Note that in FSAA 4x, the ATI Radeon 8500 cannot render
scenes in 1280*1024. In 1280*1024*32 the GeForce 4 Ti 4600 is
50% faster than the GeForce 3 Ti 500. |
|
 |
With Quicunx enabled, there's a
massive gap between the GeForce 4 Ti 4600 and the GeForce 3 Ti 500.
In 1280*1024*32 the GeForce 4 Ti 4600 is 120% faster than the
GeForce 3 Ti 500! All those benchmarks have demonstrated the ability
of the GeForce 4 Ti 4600 to render complex 3D scenes with an
extraordinary fluidity when using antialiasing modes to enhance the
visual quality of the graphics. The GeForce 4 Ti 4600 is simply the
most powerful 3D graphics card available on the market, today. |
