Troubleshooting
If
you are having problems there should be a relatively simple solution with
this device. Check your connections, power supply, and batteries to begin
with. That should eliminate 80% of the problems users are having. Here are
some other common problems.
-
If
the picture is on the title mini screen, but does not display on the TV
screen, the file may have been deleted or the disk may be corrupt. Use a
different disk and recreate the album.
-
If
you get the error “Unable to read images” on the TV screen, you may have
one of several problems. You may have more than 40 pictures on the disk,
have the pictures in the wrong size, resolution or file type. Most of
these problems occur when people do not use the software to create the
albums before using the disk in the device. Each file must be less than
120 KB, and if the files are larger the software automatically compresses
the picture to the optimal size. The images also must be in 640 x 480
resolution which the software also fixes.
-
Check the disk type. The Microsoft TV Photo Viewer only works with High
Density Disks (HDD) and not Apple Macintosh or LDD. Most disks used on the
market are HDD anyway.
