The devils took out the best of the desktop backgrounds - while adding some new ones, those in RC2 were nicer looking [to me, in any case] - it also reflects how close to complete RC2 was, as it is hard to distinguish between the RTM and RC2 aside from very minor changes to a few icons. The speed and performance are about the same.
