Before establishing Gas Powered Games in 1998, Taylor had been involved with a string a successful games. His first project was Hardball II and won him the Software Publishers Association's "Best Sports Game of the Year" Award. A string of sports titles followed, including 4D boxing and the original Triple Play Baseball. In 1997, Taylor created the multiple award-winning Total Annihilation and followed it up with a popular expansion pack, Total Annihilation: The Core Contingency, in 1998. Gas Powered Games established goal is "to build the best games ever," according to the company's Web site.
