SOFTWARE firm Microsoft has recently blasted Massachusetts for its decision to support OASIS's Open Document format as one of the two mandated standards that all of their released documents will be available in, as of 2007. We've previously covered this here..
The interesting thing, which is also extremely contradictory, is that Microsoft is saying that by forcing the use of the Open Document format, it is forcing the state, its agencies and employees to use a document type that is less functional, but that is also a sponsor of the group that created the OpenDocument standard.
