Electronic Arts may release a PC version of The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers--which is based on the upcoming film of the same name--later this year, according to listings on online retailers EB Games and GameStop. When asked about the listings, a representative for Electronic Arts stated, "At this time, we have not made any official announcement regarding The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers on PC."
The publisher announced last month that it will be releasing games based on the film for the Sony PlayStation 2 and the Nintendo Game Boy Advance this fall. The PlayStation 2 game, which is being developed by Stormfront Studios and EA's Redwood Shores studio, will let players assume the role of Legolas the elf, Gimli the dwarf, and Aragorn the ranger through a series of missions. The Game Boy Advance game is being developed at Griptonite Games and will feature four main characters, including Frodo Baggins, Aragorn, Legolas, and the wizard Gandalf, each with a series of 30 missions.
