Replacing defective products under warranty with refurbished one's is absolutely industry standard. Every single manufacturer I know of does this. Do you think they just throw the old one's in the trash ? TL |

Julien... #1/#5 here again (told ya I was gonna register).
You got 2 replacements for one!? You da man! I can only hope that my situation was unique as to the problems I had with my Predator. If the new version is ok, and I ever get a USB 2.0 card/system (I'm living in the dark ages with a 440BX chipset still), I may look at them, but my experiences have been colored by screwy drives. Which is a pity because the Predator is a cool looking and highly portable unit. If it worked flawlessly for me I would have sung its praises. Oh well. Someday I'll get a new computer, and we'll just have to see. Perhaps Alienware... Anyways, I sure hope you don't think I was just "bitching" for bitching's sake. Later! |

| They replaced my Iomega ZipCD CDRW with a new one when mine died 11 months after I got it. No Questions asked, the drive was having errors on transfers, something in the IDE connection. Anyways, they better have since they took my CC number in case I did not send the old one back. New one has been working fine for 6 months now and was a new revision. |
