Drag and Drop File Names to Command Prompt
You can drag file and folder icons from the desktop or a folder to an MS-DOS command prompt. The file name is then in the keyboard buffer of the running MS-DOS-based program.
Editing DOS Prompt
To set the way you want your Windows DOS prompt to behave, look for command.com ( should be under your c:\windows directory ). Right-click and select properties.

Copy/Paste Information from/to C ommand Prompt
Activate the toolbar in the MS-DOS-based program window to gain point-and-click access to copy, cut, and paste operations from a Windows-based program to an MS-DOS-based program. For example, you can copy a folder output on the screen, and then paste it into mail. Use Mark button to copy/paste selected area.
CD Command Shortcuts
These are the parameters to follow the CD command:
. = current directory
.. = parent directory
... = parent directory once removed directory
.... = parent directory twice removed
For example, to move up one level from c:\windows\desktop to c:\windows, type:
cd ..
Fullscreen Keyboard Shortcut
Press Alt+Enter to switch between fullscreen and window mode.
