Introduction
Pinnacle Systems is well known for the outstanding video capturing hardware
the company has produced for years. From the legendary DC30+ to the recent
DV500+ video capturing boards, Pinnacle is the undeniable worldwide video
solutions leader. When Pinnacle released its first mainstream ‘Studio’
hardware products they were all bundled with a video mounting software
dubbed Studio that was designed by Pinnacle. This software was acclaimed all
over the world for the incredible number of features it offers, its
unrivalled ease of use,
and more. Recently, Pinnacle, the only company to have
won 7 grammy awards, has updated their famous Studio software to version 7.
Studio 7 is currently available as a stand alone software package so
everyone can purchase it, without the need to own a Pinnacle hardware since
the software is compatible with every video capturing devices from WebCams
to DV camcorders. Studio 7 is a major update to the Studio software as we’ll
see in this extensive review.
Installation
Presented
in a nice DVD like jewel case, Studio 7 comes on a single CD. After you’ve
inserted it, the setup begins and ask you to enter your serial number. Once
the serial has been validated you’ll be able to perform a typical or custom
install and a few minutes later, Studio 7 is ready to be used. However it’s
advised that you reboot your computer before starting to use the software.
Once the computer has restarted you’re prompted to register the software
over the internet and then you’re ready to mount your videos.
Since Pinnacle Systems constantly works to improve its software, it's
strongly advised you download on their website the latest patch for Studio
7.
