Works 2001 remains a wonderful, must have, and easy to use all-in-one program for novice users even if this release doesn’t bring a myriad of enhancements & new features. The most noticeable one is surely the new Excel default spreadsheet file format that’ll save your files like if they were native Excel ones so you can work with them later under Excel. The new portfolio feature is neat and useful even if it can be bothering when time goes by to have this small gray button on your screen each time you start your PC! Templates, wizards, and the intuitive look & feel of Works 2001 ensures that everyone can use it right away with no learning periods. Works 2001 empowers kids to create high impact school documents while famillies will surely enjoy the fact they can create a wide variety of documents thanks to the included templates. In conclusion, Works 2001 is great and perfectly adapted to the market it targets making it a good and interesting alternative to the expensive Microsoft Office package.
