If you are wondering why this section is entitled �IIS 5.1 or 6.0?� it is because Microsoft has some discrepancies here.  Let me explain.  Here are two screen shots that justify my confusion:

As you can see, the Internet Services Manager shows that the version of IIS is 6.0; however, the Web documentation shows IIS as being version 5.1.  I guess this doesn�t really matter.  It doesn�t affect the way IIS performs.  It�ll probably be fixed in the final version.  So, for the rest of this article I will simply call it IIS for Whistler.  IIS for Whistler supports a lot of new features, like server extensions for FrontPage 2002 (XP), Windows Media Services, options that extend the functionality of different Whistler components like Terminal Services, and a new feature to Whistler called Microsoft SharePoint.  Most of these options can be added from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.  SharePoint Services, however, must be added through the Configure Your Server Wizard.
