Conclusion
I have to
say that overall I am very impressed with this card. It is a massive
improvement over the previous card which was a GeForce 2. The current price
is around £320 or $490 US. Is it worth that sort of money? I personally
think so, but only if you have a powerful enough system to get the most out
of it. The system that this was reviewed on was an Athlon XP 1800 with 512
MB DDR of RAM and I did notice a difference with the system. If you have a
lower end system you probably won’t notice much of a difference because even
though the graphics look better there will be other parts of the system
slowing it all down.
The cost
of the card is around the average price these days for the Ti4600 cards out
there on the market and it is an easy card to install with comprehensive
software to load up. The Gainward card is very easy to over clock if you
with (but only really recommended if you are willing to take the risk and
know what you are doing). Personally I wouldn’t over clock this card because
I don’t like risking it with a £350 graphics card myself.

The Good Points |
Easy to install
Dual Connections at the back so you can utilize the nView capabilities
of the card and also has the multiple VGA and DVI support
Has a 3 Port firewire card that comes as standard which is very useful
if you do video editing.

The Bad Points |
GeForce 4 cards are still very expensive unless you are
willing to shop around and try and find yourself a good deal.
The power of the card sometimes outweighs the power of the machines |
