Yamaha’s latest burner is quite simply a marvel. If it’s not the fastest burner, it’s surely the most reliable, accomplished model producing state of the art, near perfection CDs. With the CRW2200E-VK Yamaha engineers corrected all the drawbacks of the CRW2100E-VK! From the drive’s noise to SafeBurn everything has been enhanced. SafeBurn is definitely the major new feature of this burner representing a clear relief for users that have mid performance PCs by letting them burn CDs in all piece of mind while being sure the record won’t fail. The new optional adapter that transforms an IDE drive to a SCSI one is interesting since it contributes to reduce the global TCO. Yamaha doesn’t laugh about its customers since the CRW2200E-VK comes with the finest and most complete software bundle a burner has ever featured. Finally 20x burning is really fast and we wonder when Yamaha will unleash units that can record a whole CD in less than one minute?
