A few days ago we posted a couple of stories about how 30% of people were thinking of moving away from Microsoft products, and also in a previous story about the new license scheme from Microsoft. Here is some information about it from the Microsoft official page:
Save up to 42%* with Upgrade Advantage
(+ 5% if you act before 30th June 2002.)
If you're thinking of upgrading to the latest version of a Microsoft product then act now and you could benefit from a discount.
Get current and stay current
If you are running old versions of Microsoft software you should consider taking action now. Upgrade to the latest version before 31st July 2002 and you'll gain more as we'll automatically enroll you in the new Software Assurance scheme.
What happens after 31st July?
After 31st July you will no longer be able to 'upgrade' to the latest version of a Microsoft product (i.e. buy a low cost upgrade licence). You will have to buy the full licence at the full price (if you are not already enrolled in the Software Assurance program). Purchase before July and you can expect to receive discounts of up to 42% (+ 5% if you act before 30th June 2002.)
