GameSpy have posted a Preview of the upcoming Microsoft game, Blinx: The Time Sweeper. Here is part of the preview:
First, some background; the main character is a cat named Blinx, a janitor working at the Time Factory, when along come the dastardly Time Bandits (no, not from the Terry Gilliam film of the same name), who capture the princess and throw time itself out of whack. You'll have to put things right, so strapping on your trusty TS1000 (which looks and acts amazingly like a big Shop-Vac), you set out to save the day.
Taking advantage of the Xbox’s hard drive, Blinx records roughly 200 MB of recent play, allowing the action to be manipulated by rewinding, pausing, recording or fast forwarding the world without directly influencing your character. Basically, you gather a variety of time crystals in order to enable the time-warping abilities that are necessary to advance through the game. What makes this really unique is that you can't just go around grabbing anything and everything on the screen. There are four slots, and three of them need to be filled with the same category of time crystal in order to enable that specific action; filling all four with the same type of crystal provides two of those actions versus one.
