Microsoft will divest itself of two enterprise products, NXT and Folio, to software-development firm Rocket Software. NXT was originally created as a means for Microsoft to attract Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to Windows Server products, while Folio came to Redmond as part of the $1.2 billion acquisition of enterprise-search company Fast Search & Transfer (FAST) in 2008. In a FAQ on the Microsoft Website, reasons for the divestment remained cloudy.
