Microsoft still isn't quite ready to release its new mobile browser, but I did get an advance look at Internet Explorer 6 for Windows Mobile at a Microsoft event Wednesday night.

| Hahaha... no kidding. What is going on with the Windows Mobile folks, anyhow? I've never been a big fan of the platform. Hopefully 7 will be a huge leap, but what is taking them so long? Is it because they are taking the PC approach to mobile hardware? They should have bought RIM a long time ago--both would be better off, I think. |

| Power. That's the challenge. WinMob is designed to run on very low powered devices and in precious little space. WinMob has to run across a very wide range of devices, which are much weaker than the likes of an iPhone, which uses a lot more RAM, and costs a great deal more. |

bluvg, I moved away from Microsoft SmartPhones about a year ago and went with the Blackberry. I have the 8830 with Verizon as the carrier. I like it much better. I trade equities part time and it is a great platform for several top notch market data vendors software to keep up with the market while on the run.
The way Microsoft srewed up the Yahoo! purchase, I don't want them anywhere near RIMM. Sorry. |

| WinMob was innovation when they released the software years ago. hardware manu's scoffed at Microsoft who wanted more power/processing speed/memory/disk space. Now that iPhone is crowding their market they will finally provide MS a platform they can actually do something on. |
