The latest version of TinyXP has hit the pirate boards. SP3-integrated and with more tools than you can poke a stick at, it gives XP a new lease on life. Shame it's illegal. | ||

I'm ashamed to be living in Australia (for the past 1.5 yrs)... APC mag is held up here as "the truth" and yet most of their articles are so wrong at times, its completely sad.
TinyXP - great idea, extremely bad implementation. So much of the core OS (and apps) is missing that it makes this "version" of XP completely unusable in the *real* world. I can't wait until the industry has caught up with the dramatic driver improvements of Vista and we see less and less XP drivers released. |

So which freaking is it, tech press? IS Windows modular, or i it not modular??? If it were not modular would this version, or V-Lite (Vista light) be at all possible? Or... is it really bloated (ridiculous to suggest it is) - I mean... while it does take up some space on a hard drive, relative to comparatively massive HDD's of today, Windows is downright tiny... so is bloat considered to be the many new features in Windows, or what loads by default when Windows starts? My bet is these same "tech experts" are no more accurate about that one than they are about the "Windows isn't modular enough BS" Somebody fire these people.... oh wait... I forgot... modern tech Internet revenue is based upon traffic and ads as distributed by largely Microsoft's competitors... but nah... there's no relationship there at all… |
