At the Mono Summit in Madrid, developers discussed the new strategy for Mono on Mac OS X. According to a blog entry posted by Mono creator Miguel de Icaza, a native OS X backend for Windows.Forms will be included in Mono 1.2.6, with additional improvements planned for version 1.2.7.
The Mono runtime for OS X will also include the GTK# bindings and Imendio's native OS X GTk port, which will make it possible for GTK# applications to run on OS X without requiring X11.
