Getting Virtual Server 2005 to work on Windows Vista | |

Recently I tried running Virtual Server 2005 R2 on Vista Ultimate edition, the program installed ok but I was unable to start the Virtual Server Administration site. It prompted me Open or Save vswebapp.exe | ||

| It is trivial to get Virtual Server 2005 working on Vista - just don't install the web admin tools. Use Virtual Machine Remote Control Client Plus instead. This tool has all the capabilities of the admin website without the pain of the browser interface. |

you need to enable IIS 6 compatibility, and enable a few other things now that IIS 7 is essientially only serves static content by default and has almost every other option turned off.
Just serach for it - its worked fine for me even with the vista betas. |
