TeamXbox have posted a review of the James Bond game, 007: Agent Under Fire. They gave it a final score of 3.7 out of 5. Here is a snippet of the review:
Electronic Arts has taken a very untraditional approach in Agent Under Fire as far as the focus of the gameplay. It takes a very different route from the conventional first person shooters that we are familiar with. In essence, it was created to tell the story of Bond, and thus molded to fit that cast. When playing this game, you will feel like the action is scripted, much like you are watching another Bond film. What is interesting is that this is particular title is not based off of any movie, but it has a completely innovative storyline. Whereas, Goldeneye on the N64 was based off of the film, but did not feel like it was. This can pose as a problem for hardcore shooter fans. I feel that the implementation of an unused Bond story is a definite plus, but the concept of ultimate freedom to move around and become completely immersed in your environments is lacking. The scripted atmosphere of the game will leave you feeling somewhat rushed to get your objectives completed and advance through the story. It also hurts the replay value because when you have played through it once, then the fun factor and your ability to become surprised is lowered. What this game does bring you is some serious, authentic Bond-style warfare complete with 12 action packed missions, guns, gadgets, girls, and wild car chases that put you in the shoes of the man himself.
