Microsoft Cuts Clutter With Full-Function Wireless Desktop | |

Microsoft Corp. today introduced its first Wireless Desktop for customers looking for the convenience of a wireless keyboard and an ambidextrous wireless mouse. The new Microsoft® Wireless Desktop includes Microsoft's first Wireless Keyboard and new Wireless Wheel Mouse. Together, they deliver a complete set of integrated, clutter-free desktop hardware. The package will be available this February for $74.95 (U.S.).* The Wireless Desktop package features the following:

You know, Anonymous #1, I agree with you wholeheartedly. It is a real shame that Microsoft seems to have given up on the Natural form factor for future keyboard development. Perhaps the demand is simply not there.

I whole-heartedly agree with #1. Microsoft's hardware designers don't have meetings, it seems :)
I can do without the 'Natural' part, though. Not only is it very uncomfortable, but you look like a Duck trying to take off whe using them :) TL |

I would like to see a high end wireless option as well. Using rechargeable batteries and some sort of docking station.
Ohwell, I may just buy a new office keyboard and intellimouse explorer anyway just to use them at work. At least I can get a wireless mouse if I want. |

I have the natural elite and the natural keyboard pro. You can't beat these keyboards. I too vote that they should make more designs with that form factor.
Guess I will have to talk to Bill and get him in gear. Crazy guy still owes me money. . . |

#10 - Coolest feature of the Office keyboard is the scroll wheel! It rocks!
I don't use any of the special buttons except the Calculator, mainly because I got used to that and everything else I have shortcuts down on the task bar for(well Outlook and IE anyway). Oh and the Back and Forward buttons occasionally. Sometimes app switching. Seldom use undo/redo, agreed. |
