MS is so huge that offering an Action Pack subscription to an MD is not surprising. If he is the IT guy for his company the sale is legit. Is not, than MS needs to police their system better. More than likely they were happy to get the couple of hundred bucks per year from the doctor. MS's revenue is ever increasing. They can sell to who they want and under whatever conditions they dictate. That's capitalism.
Reselling NFR software goes against the idea of NFR software. There will always be someone who wants to pull in a few extra bucks the easy way. To those people: some day soon MS will record the product keys of the NFR software and who it went to. If it is used in a manner not consitent with the license the reseller risks losing his MS contacts and reputation. For now, there are bigger fish to fry. I learned that in the Quad Cities are there is a rent to own type store that reuses Dell product key, scratches off the original key on the case, resells the scratched key and, on top of that, resells the Dells for double what they go for on the Dell website. I am amazed at what people do to make money.
MS: Please catch up to the bigger crooks and nail them, then work your way down to the smaller marginal crooks, so that those of us that follow the rules are not pissed off at you when we see the illegal crap that is going on without penalty.
