Isnt that called "Set Program Access Defaults" released way back with Windows 2000 SP4? When will they understand, its not that the icon is there or isnt there, its that its the best option. For playing MP3's, Winamp 2.8 is still the best program, you could put Media Player, Real Player, QuickTime, Sonic, and all the other icons on the screen, but I wont use them. Same goes for browsers, and IM clients. People will use what works better for them. I use Winamp, AIM, and IE. Media Player is bloated, MSN Messenger is bloated (AIM is getting that way) and Netscape is...why do they still make it AW? And Firefox is fine, but not any better then IE, just different with different holes. How long will it take for people to understand "Compitition" is not if an icon is already on the desktop, its who makes the better product. I hate to compare cars to computers, but if there were a Chevy, Ford, Chrystler, BMW and Mercedes Benz in your driveway, which would you choose to drive? Its not about what you have access to, its about what is the best product.
