Taking aim at Apple Computer's iTunes, Napster Inc. unveiled Thursday a new music service that allows users to download an unlimited number of songs to portable music players for a flat monthly fee.
Napster said the portable version of its Napster To Go music service would cost $14.95 a month and would work with music players from the likes of Creative Technology, Dell Inc. and iRiver. All three companies will also offer a free month of the service with new product purchases.
