Don's post about XAML as CLR object graph persistence...showed off the namespace mapping feature, which leads Werner to speculate about whether you can write WinForms UI from XAML The answer is yes, and it wasn't supposed to be a secret. Disc 2 in your PDC set should contain a couple chapters of an Interoperability and Migration guide that some folks here have been working on, showing how Avalon, WinForms, MFC and Win32 can all interoperate. In Chapter 5, there is an example called "WindowsFormsInMarkup". That is the magic sample. We are working on getting all this content up to MSDN over the next few months, but since it's a hot topic right now, here's a sneek peak (with the standard caveat that all of this is, of course, subject to change over the coming months). | ||
