I manage a network with approx 3700 computer of which I have little to no control over. (students living on campus at a university). I welcome sp2 with the hope that it will prevent many of the blaster's and sasser's of the future.
As for the breakages, we have spent the summer creating guides, tutorials, testing machines using vmware, and usability testing with students here for the summer. It took a far amount of work, but I'm willing to accept all that if I don't have to spend the hundreds of extra hours dealing with some of these viruses.
As for having to update broken software, I am constantly having to update my computers anyways with newer versions, so whats an extra update for sp2 compatibility. I throw crap at MS all the time, but so far with sp2, it looks like they got most of the stuff right. The biggest complaint I have about sp2 is that the firewall doesn't check outgoing connections, but I can live with that for now.
Nice job Microsoft, you got one thing right this time.
