Microsoft Corp. told a Hennepin County jury Tuesday that Minnesota consumers were not overcharged for Windows, Word and Excel software. What's more, the software giant said plaintiffs' attorneys in the civil antitrust trial had based their class-action suit on fragmentary and misleading data. Microsoft's lawyers promised more details of their defense today. They also said the company's legendary chairman and chief software architect, Bill Gates, and current CEO Steve Ballmer plan to testify in person in the case.
