Microsoft today announced its partnership with Eatsleepmusic Corporation (http://www.eatsleepmusic.com)
to provide downloadable karaoke songs for Microsoft's breakout party title, Xbox
Music Mixer. This downloadable content will be available the moment Xbox Music Mixer
hits retail shelves on October 14 for a suggested retail price of $39.99 (U.S.).
With over 20,000 songs from artists such as Nelly, Faith Hill, The Beatles and
Good Charlotte, Eatsleepmusic is the ultimate karaoke resource. Visit
www.xboxkaraoke.com,
download your favorite tunes to your PC, transfer them to your Xbox and get the
party rocking with Xbox Music Mixer. Partiers also have the option to download “packs”
of music via Xbox Live. Shortly after launch there will be 10 packs of songs offered
with five songs per pack, each selling for approximately $10 (U.S.). Additional
packs will be served up regularly with nearly 30 available for download by this
holiday.
Take the party to the next level with the multipurpose Xbox Music Mixer. Transfer
favorite MP3s, audio files and digital photos from PC to Xbox effortlessly with
the Xbox Music Mixer PC Transfer Tool. Enter the Rave Mode to add real-time audio
effects and transitions to music selections, creating the ultimate sensory experience.
The Xbox Music Player feature breathes new life into music, with options to mix,
match, shuffle and add dazzling 2-D and 3-D on-screen visual effects. Transform
ordinary photos into incredible multimedia slide shows with the Photo Album Viewer;
complete with synched music, sound effects and even narratives. And when the party
is about to hit its stride, bring down the house with the Karaoke feature. Grab
the included microphone and showcase your vocal talents (or lack thereof) by singing
along with more than a dozen karaoke hits from a variety of artists. Or, take it
to the next level with a little free-form action. With digital vocal-stripping technology,
you can remove the vocals from your favorite CDs and audio files -- making nearly
any karaoke request possible. Once you get it right, record your performances for
playback anytime. Now it’s even easier to create the ultimate party right in your
living room.
