Five Tablet PCs, arrayed across the table from each other: A Toshiba Portegé 3500, a Compaq TC1000, an Electrovaya Scribbler, an Acer TravelMate C100, and a Fujitsu Stylistic ST4000. It's an awesome sight, for a geek anyway, and one I don't expect to see repeated again within my home. But they're here for now, anyway, and thanks to my seven-week adventure on the Microsoft Mobility Tour (LINK), I have this unique opportunity to provide an overview and comparison of these interesting mobile devices. | ||

| I want the Acer or the Toshiba! When are they coming out with Tablets that run on the Centrino proc? |

#1 - From what I've read on sites like www.tabletpcbuzz.com, sometime around May.
That's what I'm waiting for. My big wish list right now is: 1.) Longer batter life. (4 hours minimum.) 2.) Built in DVD drive. (Or at least a built in bay for one.) 3.) More power! (2Ghz would be nice.) Seems to me that the Centrino-based Tablets might be able to give me 2 outta 3... |

| We have pretty much all Dell machines here, and we're talking about replacing our desktops for about 30-40% of our organization with TabletPCs in the 2004-2005 timeframe. We're not against going with another manufacturer if they don't produce one, but it would be nice--and I think in their best interests--if they offered one. Anyone else in a similar situation? |

| YES #5! I'm waiting for Dell to come out with a Tablet - but I'm not gonna wait forever. They usually take their sweet time getting new products to market - they waited 3 years before releasing their Pocket PC. When the Centrino laptops come out - then I will start to take a serious look at Tablets - with or without Dell... |

| Another thing I would really love to see is a review of OneNote used on a Tablet PC - Paul if you read this - were you able to test the Office 2003 beta and specifically OneNote on any of the Tablets? |

| Dell tends to wait before it jumps into anything. They let everyone else test the water and learn from those companies mistakes. |

| The problem with typing notes is organization. You can't place things down visually, at least not easily, like you can when you write it. |
