Microsoft Corp., which is trying to break into the market for wireless phones, said it filed a counter suit against Sendo Ltd., alleging breach of contract after the U.K. phonemaker abandoned their joint venture.
Sendo, a closely held company that makes unbranded handsets, in December sued Microsoft, the world's largest software maker, for allegedly using its trade secrets to build a rival product. Redmond, Washington-based Microsoft denied the allegations and filed a counter claim, spokesman Jon Murchinson said in an e-mail.
