I beg to differ about pdf looking better than Word docs.
The exe wrapper is there to provide a little compression. Wine? Why read a Microsoft .NET debugging paper on Linux. Something just don't make sense to me. |

Microsoft almost never uses zip. Instead they do self extracting exe's. I think they do self extracting exe's, so the user won't have to purchase or otherwise acquire a product to handle .zips. With an exe, all you need is Windows and all is well.
Good point on programming technique. I haven't read the doc yet, and I rather assumed it was heavily .NET specific. As such I figured it would be of little use to non .NET developers. |

| That's a good question. I know WinRAR, PKWare, and WinZip (among others) support zip. Not sure who owns it. My guess, though, would be PKWare. |
