Microsoft's global sales chief and highest-ranking minority executive was reassigned to head a smaller division yesterday, but he said the move was not a demotion. Orlando Ayala said it's a promotion of sorts because he will build what may be Microsoft's fastest growing business in the next five years, selling business software to small and medium businesses with five to 1,000 employees. "I have been a builder, I love to be a builder, this is all about building opportunity," he said by cellphone from a ballfield where he was watching one of his four daughters play softball. | ||
