What do Quake, Wolfenstein, and Daikatana all have in common with Monkeystone's Hyperspace Delivery Boy? Not much…except for some of the talent behind each game. Monkeystone is comprised of former id / Ion Storm codewranglers John Romero, Tom Hall, and Stevie "KillCreek" Case, as well as other former id and Ensemble Studios developers. Hyperspace Delivery Boy is a refreshing and enjoyable retro game that will win over any fan of the 2D action / puzzle genre. It is fairly similar in look to the original Zelda I played over and over again, but it's obviously a product of the 21st Century in its snarky attitude and consciously retro style. |
