Microsoft Posts, Then Pulls 'Not Quite Ready' Vista Guide | |

Microsoft first posted, then pulled a 313-page guide to its upcoming Windows Vista operating system Tuesday, saying that, like the OS itself, the documentation "it isn't quite ready for public consumption." The guide was originally provided to Microsoft's Technology Adoption Partner (TAP) members -- select customers and partners who serve as elite beta testers -- and on Monday, posted to a Microsoft blog run by Fred Pullen, a Denver, Colo.-based presenter in the TS2 partner seminar and training program. Tuesday, however, Pullen yanked the guide at his employer's request. | ||

This story is inaccurate. The guide is not public, however it is available to tech beta and Developers..... anyone with MS Connect access to vista. Not sure about the different levels of access, with TAP and all but I'm a Tech Beta participant and I've been free to download it since the story first broke This post was edited by ispamforfood on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 11:35. |
