| THQ Inc. and Fox Interactive today announced an exclusive, worldwide Game Boy
Advance publishing agreement for two new titles. Under the agreement, THQ will publish
Game Boy Advance games based on the popular The SimpsonsTM
Road Rage console game and the Buffy the Vampire Slayer property. Both of these
games are scheduled to release in 2003. "The Simpsons and Buffy properties have
enjoyed tremendous consumer appeal in nearly every product category, including videogame
successes," stated Germaine Gioia, vice president of licensing, THQ. "Both properties
will serve to further bolster our leadership position on the Game Boy Advance. "As the top third-party Game Boy Advance publisher, THQ is an ideal co-publishing
partner for our established entertainment properties," stated Steven Bersch, president
of Fox Interactive. "We look forward the continued success for these great properties
as they make their Game Boy Advance debut." The Simpsons, a 20th Century Fox Television
series, will begin its 14th season this fall as the longest-running primetime entertainment
program on television. In the 2001-2002 season, the show was the second highest
rated program among teens and ranked within the top ten primetime shows among adults
18-34. Fox Interactive recently co-published The Simpsons Road Rage on X-Box, Game
Cube, and the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system. Student by day and vampire and demon fighter by night describes the title character
of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, an action-packed thriller television show laced with
comedy and horror. As the sole slayer of her generation, Buffy Summers tries to
balance a normal teenage life and protect the world from the undead. The Buffy the
Vampire Slayer game for Xbox will be released this August. THQ and Fox Interactive
teamed up in 2001 to release the handheld hit Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Game Boy
