Today, at Microsoft’s 2007 Financial Analyst Meeting, the company reported that its Microsoft® Office SharePoint® Server business generated revenue of more than $800 million in fiscal year 2007, due to strong demand for the enterprise- ready, integrated server capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. This represents a growth rate of more than 35 percent over fiscal year 2006.
“We were confident Office SharePoint Server 2007 would be well-received, but even we have been blown away by its phenomenal success,” said Kirk Koenigsbauer, general manager for SharePoint Product Management at Microsoft. “What we hear from customers of all sizes is that they love having a single product that spans so many areas that are critical to their business — from enterprise search and content management to business intelligence, collaboration, social computing and portals.”
