A man has been charged with stealing an Xbox (news - web sites) computer games console just a few hours after Microsoft launched its new product in Britain, police said on Thursday. Unemployed Jomar Allen, 20, was due to appear in court later on Thursday. Police said the man was charged shortly after midnight after an incident in London's Oxford Street. Microsoft's entry into the Britain's lucrative gaming market was launched by broadcaster Jonathan Ross and Virgin Entertainment Group chief Richard Branson at one of 300 stores which opened at midnight on Wednesday. The Xbox, which will cost 300 pounds in the Britain, was first launched in the U.S. last November and three months later in Japan.
