Microsoft Corp's Japanese unit said on Wednesday that it would begin selling the newest version of its ubiquitous Windows personal computer operating system in the country from November 16. The Windows XP Home Edition for individual users is expected to retail at 25,800 yen ($220) and the price for Windows XP Professional version for businesses is 35,800 yen. Japan, the world's second-largest economy, is a key market for Microsoft, which will launch its main English version in the United States on October 25. The U.S. Home Edition is $199 and the Professional version $299.
