The European Commission could impose additional, tougher sanctions on Microsoft in the ongoing probe into the software maker’s alleged anti-competitive practices, according remarks from the European Competition Commissioner at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
"The solution must be beneficial to consumers and competition and, we hope, complementary to the remedies in the US,” said Mario Monti. He also added that no responses to the Microsoft’s alleged anti-competitive behaviour could be ruled out. "All our options are open," added the commissioner.
