Antivirus software vendors on Friday warned of a new e-mail worm that appears to promote the Linux operating system.
Labeled as Shockwave.A or ProLin.A, the worm is similar to the Love Letter and other viruses in that it spreads through Microsoft Outlook. It arrives as an e-mail with the subject line, "A great Shockwave flash movie," and an attachment called "creative.exe."
When the attachment is opened, the worm will send a copy of itself to every address in the victim's address book.
