#4: My wife is similar to your Beth. As an advanced Office user, she can make amazing business documents and her hands never leave the keyboard. At 100+ wpm, the mouse slows her down tremendously. One of her idiot bosses one day harassed her for not using the mouse more. When my wife replied that she's much faster on the keyboard, the idiot says "But what if your keyboard breaks?" Sit and think about that a minute. If her keyboard breaks, she has much bigger problems to worry about that just switching to a mouse for all input. I guess Character Map would suffice for a virtual keyboard?... And then there's the problem of (wait for it) 'what if the mouse breaks?!?!' The idiot assumes that keyboards break all the time but mice are impervious?? Idiot^2.
