Why do you fault Microsoft for wanting part of the business? MS has experience in embedded systems, hardware development, and software development. The Smartphone is not even available yet, but you automatically discount it's possible impact because it is developed by Microsoft. Earlier (in Symbian calls troops to battle Microsoft), you basically said that buggy Java phones were ok, but a buggy Smartphone is an automatic failure even though the only thing you could be judging, as far as the Smartphone goes, is a beta product. Some logic there. It seems you are showing blind faith in everything not Microsoft, or, at least, everything Symbian .
