Last week, I talked about what Microsoft was doing for the Olympics and questioned whether it would all pay off. According to NBC, loads of viewers are tuning in; it's as if the users participating in the video explosion on the Internet have simply said "Olympics? Sure, we'll watch that too." | ||

Its good for when I'm not at the tv. But while at the tv, LIVE has taken a backseat to the tvtonic WindowsMediaCenter app. Truly beautiful integration. HIGHLY recommended.

| UI is *not* built using WPF but is XAML based (which WPF and Silverlight share). |

My wife, not a computer user, but an equestrian enthusiast, is really enjoying the NBC coverage available from their Internet web site. She has sat for hours viewing on our plasma TV via a wireless connection from one of our desktops the hours of equestrian footage available. The highlight for her was "Gold" in the Team Jumping event.
What a tremendous improvement in all respects from the last Olympics. For Microsoft part, this is truly validation of the Silverlight platform . . . |
