#4 - Thanks :)
#2 - LOL! Well, I'm running the 32bit version of Vista, so anything more would be a waste. The video card has 768MB of memory on it so, along with all the other mapped I/O I figure installing 4GB would probably only net me 2.5-2.8GB.
#6 - Thanks :) Not until May 4th, but almost there :)
#7 - Again, I hope he's right!
BTW... This Intel BadAxe2 Motherboard is a pretty sweet piece of kit. Very well built, and a decent bundle of goodies in the box (round IDE and Floppy cables (UV at that), locking SATA cables (again, UV), and a really cool placard you can put on the inside cover of the case that has all the connectors, jumpers, sockets, etc... laid out and labeled.
I'm happy to see Intel get serious about the Enthusiasts market.
The current 'old' machine, which is a AMD-64x2 4800 with a GeForce 7800 will be come a dedicated game machine for games and everything else I have that isn't happy with Vista.
The current machine fulfilling that duty, an AMD-64 3500, will most likely become my Windows Home Server machine.
