This is news? Who cares if the power toys are yanked. As far as bugs, power toys are not supported at all. No kb articles, no bug fixes, no support - nothing. When you install powertoys you are agreeing that you will fix any problems.

#12: what part of 'Who cares if the power toys are yanked' do you not understand? There's lots of 404 errors on microsoft.com, i dont see the point of this article.
