| I'm a big fan of the MMC and have been using customized consoles for a long time. When I started working with the new SQL Server 2005 tools I noticed that, for the most part, MS seems to be trying to push SQL admins away from using the MMC. The new Management Studio is how you DBA; not using the MMC. Sure, they have an MMC snap-in (Config Mgr) but it handles only a small part of the DBA work. I still love the snap-ins though :) |
